About Colosteño Vintage
Colosteño vintage was created from a spontaneous idea that our founder had. Carlos participated in a fashion show his freshman year in college where his whole perspective on clothing changed dramatically. Modeling vintage clothing, Carlos grew a passion for vintage fashion. This led to our creation in summer of 2021. The name Colosteño vintage comes from two important identities our founder is associated with. “Colo” comes from the first 4 letters of the word Colombia where “steño” comes from the word costeño which is what they call people who’re from the coast of Colombia. Carlos wanted something unique that resonated with him but most importantly… showing all of you that we surround ourselves around uniqueness. Our mission is to help YOU find something that compliments you and your own uniqueness!

Born in Barranquilla, Colombia, our founder Carlos Martinez-Villa has had quite the journey. In his first six years of life, Carlos was surrounded by all of his family as they all lived in Colombia. In 2008, Carlos’ life shifted as he and his nuclear family moved to the United States to begin a new life. Passionate about soccer, Carlos spent most of his life playing the sport until it was time to begin a new journey at the College of Charleston where he would later graduate with a degree in communication and marketing. During his college career, this is where OUR story started!
